October is finally here, which means fall is in full swing! During these autumn months, the air is getting cooler and the landscapes are beginning to change. It’s the perfect time to get outside, get active and revamp your workout routine!

Need an extra push to get moving? Start with some fresh music. Music is an overlooked tool when it comes to finding success during any workout or fitness plan. With the right songs and the right beats, you can get inspired and find the fuel to push yourself to your limits — even after you’ve reached your initial goals!

To help you discover this kind of motivation, we’ve compiled a special October Spotify list of music just for YOU. The songs on this list come from numerous genres and even different decades! They all provide positive, upbeat music that is designed to give you the energy and endurance you need during exercise. And, the full track list is approximately one hour long — giving you plenty of tunes to listen to while you get your blood pumping!

Do YOU have any specific songs or music that stands out when you exercise? We want you to share them with us so other Campaign Challengers can hear them!

To help motivate others on their own journeys, simply follow these directions for building your playlist:

  • First, build your own playlist with the songs you love and want to share. Try to include enough songs to span at least 45 minutes. As a guideline, try to pick songs and albums that will inspire other campaign challengers to keep going even when the going gets tough. Also, try to pick music that is free of profanity and explicit language.
  • Next, share your Spotify playlist by emailing the link to mstep@obesityaction.org. We may add your music to next month’s Your Weight Matters Workout Music Playlist!
  • If you don’t want to build and share an entire playlist, feel free to use the email above to send in any individual songs that you think will motivate others!
