What’s more inspiring than a complete mental transformation to give you a new perspective on life and health?

As human beings, we’re motivated by many different things. When it comes to weight management, many of us are motivated by a visual picture — whether it’s a before-and-after shot, photo of someone cheering you on or inspirational quotes stuck to your bathroom mirror.

One of our biggest motivations, however, is the presence of music. Music that enables us to focus on the task at hand, carry us through our challenges and visualize the world we want for ourselves. As common sense might see it, a handy-dandy motivational music playlist is a great tool to have ready at any moment — and it gives us the power to transform our minds!

That’s why this October, we’ve created a special music playlist to give you fresh new goals and fuel to keep you moving in the right direction. We hope you’ll find these tunes empowering, enlightening and freeing!

Inspire Others by Submitting Your Own Transforming Playlist!

Do YOU have any music that inspires you to stay active and increases your focus on your goals? We want you to share them so others can benefit!

To help motivate others with the same music that has inspired you, simply follow these steps:

  • First, build your own Spotify playlist with the songs you love and want to share. Try to include enough songs for about 45 minutes – one hour’s worth of listening. As a guideline, try to pick songs and albums that you believe will help uplift others during their workouts. Also, try to include music that is free of profanity and explicit language.
  • Next, share your Spotify playlist by emailing the link to mstep@obesityaction.org. We may add your music to next month’s Your Weight Matters workout playlist!
  • If you don’t want to build and share an entire playlist, you may use the email listed above to submit individual songs.
