Protein helps support muscle health, keeps you feeling satisfied and plays an important role in overall health. The good news is you don’t need complicated recipes or expensive ingredients to eat a protein-rich meal.
Greek Chicken Bowls
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups cooked brown rice
- 2 cups chopped cucumbers
- 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ¼ cup tzatziki
Directions
- Season the chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Grill or sauté for about 6 to 7 minutes per side, until cooked through. Slice into strips.
- Divide the rice among four bowls.
- Top with chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta and a spoonful of tzatziki.

Cottage Cheese Taco Bowls
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 packet low-sodium taco seasoning
- 2 cups cooked brown rice
- 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 avocado, diced
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
Directions
- Brown the turkey in a skillet and stir in taco seasoning according to package directions.
- Divide rice into four bowls.
- Top with seasoned turkey, cottage cheese, salsa, lettuce and avocado.

Lemon Salmon Sheet Pan Dinner
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- Four (5-ounce) salmon fillets
- 1 lb broccoli florets
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place salmon, broccoli, and tomatoes on a large sheet pan.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Top salmon with lemon slices.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

High-Protein Pasta Primavera
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 8 oz chickpea pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 zucchini, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups cooked shredded rotisserie chicken
Directions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions.
- While the pasta cooks, sauté the broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms and garlic in olive oil until tender.
- Add the cooked chicken and warm through.
- Toss everything together with the pasta and Parmesan cheese.

Southwest Black Bean and Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- Four medium sweet potatoes
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup salsa
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Plain Greek yogurt and chopped cilantro, for garnish (optional)
Directions
- Microwave or bake the sweet potatoes until tender.
- Warm the chicken, black beans and salsa together in a saucepan.
- Split each sweet potato and fill with the chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle with cheese and garnish with a dollop of Greek yogurt and cilantro, if desired.
Protein: Approximately 32 grams per serving
